Protocols
Protocols are an educator's new friend! Think through how you want students to behave, work, and interact; spell that all out up front.
Today you'll be part of the large group as well as breakout session groups. Please follow these protocols:
Cameras on! If you're in the class, be present in the class.
Mute yourself to eliminate background noise.
Use silent "reactions" to show agreement (thumbs-up) or approval (silent clapping).
Be on time! If you are in a breakout room working on an activity, come back at the
appointed time. Set a timer if you wish.
Use the chat area to post questions and comments; however, be respectful of all in voicing your opinion.
If you need help and can't find Nancy, text her on her cell: 201-788-4222
For your small-group interaction:
Keep yourself muted until you wish to speak.
When you have something to say, unmute yourself.
Watch your fellow group members' microphones; if you see someone unmute,
give them the air time.
Ensure that everyone is participating. Ask someone to share their thoughts or ideas
so no one is left out.
