Small-Group Activity on the 7 Attributes of a Hybrid Learning Environment
The key to success in any hybrid learning environment is FOLLOWING DIRECTIONS ... so read them carefully ... maybe twice!
You have 20 minutes to complete this.
You'll need a few people to play specific roles. You may need some to double-up on
roles if you don't have four people in your group. Decide among yourselves who wants
to take on each role:
a. Reader - You'll keep returning to this page to read the directions to the group.
b. Time Keeper - You'll keep track of the time to ensure the group is moving along.
c. Encourager - You'll encourage anyone who is not participating to voice an opinion.
d. Synthesizer - You'll guide the group in answering the final question and share out
in the large group when we return.
Find your breakout room number at the top of the Zoom screen. Then click on the
corresponding group number below to open your group's Jamboard.
Double-check to make sure you're on the board number that matches your group number.
(The Reader should then come back to this screen to read the next direction.)

Group 6
You'll see a screen with the 7 Attributes of a Hybrid Learning Environment and a
stack of yellow cards in the top center.
Read the top card and discuss which of the 7 attributes is
most
aligned with the card.
Drag the card over to that attribute. (If you have trouble,
watch the how-to video
).
Continue until you only have 5 minutes left. (Time Keeper - pay attention!)
With 5 minutes to go, discuss your "hybridity takeaway:" --
what will teachers and students need to do to rock a hybrid learning environment?
Your takeaway can come from the post-it pieces, the experience itself, or some
discussion point. See if you can reach a consensus and synthesize it into one
"newspaper headline" for when you rejoin the group.
